Edgecarboxylated graphene nanosheets via ball milling | PNAS
Edgecarboxylation of graphite (ECG) was prepared by ball milling of the pristine graphite in a planetary ballmill machine in the presence of dry ice at 500 rpm. In a typical experiment, 5 g of the pristine graphite and 100 g of dry ice were placed into a stainless steel capsule containing stainless steel balls of 5 mm in diameter.
